Autonomous Molecular and Atomic Nanofabrication | ||
Bernhard Ramsauer was awarded an FWF project on Atomic Nanofabrication. The AMAN-SPM project aims to perform autonomous on-surface synthesis of new molecules and novel nanostructures. The primary challenge lies in the complex nature of molecule-surface and molecule-tip interaction processes. Learning to control these processes, the project develops a reinforcement learning (RL) framework that learns the optimal manipulation parameters to perform on-surface synthesis reactions via a scanning probe microscope (SPM). | ||
